What is LanP3?
LanP3 is a network based music player (Jukebox), which plays music based in a queue. If you have more than one computer, you can allow others to help build the song queue.
Everyone on your network, or workgroup, can see the Song Listings that are built from your computer and they can select a song to play.
What is the main way to report bugs and issues?
For the moment, you can contact us via email. (contact) (-at-) (lucidocean) (d 0 t) (c 0 m)
You can of course use our standard contact form on the
Lucid Ocean website.
Why can't other computers on my network see LanP3 web?
LanP3 has its own Web Server built-in, which uses port 1300. Make sure your firewall allows local network traffic on this port.
Why does LanP3 Web show my credits as a negative amount?
If the maximum amount of credits assigned per person gets lowered (by Administrator) when you already have more credits per song in the Queue.
Does editing the song details change the actual file?
Not at this time, but it will soon. It now does update your files metatags. In next versions, there will be more options surrounding this.
Can I play *.m4a tracks?
Yes, but you are to install the neccesary codecs as you would with your Media Player Application.
We have test it with a

LanP3 is not listing my music
Sometimes, on some machines, we have noticed that, after a new install, adding a folder for the first time is not starting the Indexing of the directories.
We recommend that you exit LanP3, and then click the Index All button on the first Admin Screen. After that, everything should be back to normal.
I have it installed, now what?
To get started, open the LanP3 Admin, by right-clicking the icon in your system Tray (next to the Time on your taskbar).
Click Options. In the opened window, click browse, to select your mp3 folders of your choice.
You can then select songs to play, by opening your browser.
See if its LanP3 Web is running
If this does not open LanP3 web, it is not installed or running.
