Release History

This install will overwrite your previously installed LanP3 Database.
You will need to add your settings, folders again in Settings.

1. You cannot name yourself "AutoPlay" anymore.
2. Minor Bug Fixed with COM Interop
3. Added missing reference for Web Project which occurred in some situations
4. Added support for the indexing and playing of .m4a audio files.  However Support for extensive MetaData associated for the audio track is as yet outstanding.
5. The File Indexing shuts down when the player shuts down. It now resumes the Indexing when LanP3 is restarted.
6. Fixed error, where Indexing would sometimes fail to start, when first adding a folder.
7. The Indexing was using more than 70% CPU when Indexing was in full swing. This is now reduced considerably. Expect 1-5% typical, and peaks to around 20% at certain times. This varies on different machines.
8. Repaired some info text that was not being reset when the indexing was complete.
9. Indexing was slowing down gradually over time, on extremely large music folders. This has been fixed, together with the CPU. It does take a little longer to Index, but we have tried a good compromise between speed and CPU usage.
10. The Track Listings now shows you if a track is in the Queue, to help prevent a duplicate.
11. LanP3 would sometimes still be running in your processes, after closing. There were three causes found and repaired.
12. Added Icons to the Installed shortcuts.
13. Added the icon to the Add/Remove programs of the Installer
14. Added Prerequisites for both .NET 2.0 and SQL Express to Installer. Please run “Setup.exe” to activate the installers.
15. RunOnStartup Option was not saving properly.
16. On Load, the menu incorrectly displayed AutoPlay as off even if it was on.
17. Fixed an error where taking LanP3 offline, would set it back to Online, when an AutoPlay track was already lined up in the Queue.
18. Fixed an error, where the Option Dialog would not show on top of other windows, when clicking on Options Menu.
19. Made change to LanP3 Web, to make sure a name is set, before adding to the Queue.

Windows 2003 Server Notes

There have been reports of LanP3 not installing SQLExpress if the full version SQL 2005 is installed.
You should therefore install the SQLExpress Version side by side. (Please make sure you don't break your server.)

FOR ANY LOSS WHATSOEVER.

With that said though, we don’t expect any problems.
