LanP3 2.04 Release History This install will overwrite your previously installed LanP3 Database. You will need to add your settings, folders again in Settings. _______________________________________________________________________ 1. FIXED: Downloading and storing albumart had a bug where if certain conditions where met it would get stuck on a track, now fixed. 2. FIXED: Albumart download process interrupted by data read error (database) for album info. 3. FIXED: some invalid characters in albumart path, caused albumart to not show on web. 3. FIXED: a few css styles were overlooked when changing from last revision 4. FIXED: a bug caused the last 10 tracks to be recycled into the AutoPlay (repeats). 5. AutoPlay algorithm has been improved 6. A little help was added to a new first tab on the Admin, to help some people get started. (visible on first install) 7. AutoPlay and Queue are now represented on a new first tab, so you can keep track of them on the Admin screen. 8. The Admin Menu is now skinned. 9. Added: AutoPlay Reset (effectively restarts the AutoPlay context, conditions and state) 10. Added: Folder Indexing. You can now choose to have the sub directory listed in the list. Changed Web layout a little to show the album covers a little more. 13. GENERAL: here are a few non essential to explain, but you may be happy to know about 13a - load is slightly faster - on my my machine :) 13b - more responsiveness to the menu 13c - threading, is controlled a little better, to improve performance. 13d - when the cpu gets a little busy (from whatever process), Lanp3 music stutters. I have managed to minimize it (but it will still probably happen) 13e - The version number is now displayed on the admin screen 13f - revision numbers are now being used, so we can randomize our internal builds, but keep our revisions incremental 13g - a debug built version of our media assembly was being included in the install (replaced with release version) 13h - Run on Startup errored if SQL Express was not yet loaded and failed. 13i - Run on Startup did not save settings in certain conditions 13j - Web now has an edit link (instead of track title click) and an improved edit/view page Windows 2003 Server Notes ______________________________________________________________________________________________ There have been reports of LanP3 not installing SQLExpress if the full version SQL 2005 is installed. You should therefore install the SQLExpress Version side by side. (Please make sure you don't break your server.) http://msdn.microsoft.com/vstudio/express/sql/download/ WE STRONGLY RECOMMEND THAT YOU INSTALL THIS ON A NON CRITICAL MACHINE. IT IS YOUR CHOICE, BUT THINGS DO GO WRONG AND UNFORESEEN THINGS CAN OCCUR. PLEASE AT LEAST BACKUP YOUR DATA. WE CANNOT BE HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY LOSS WHATSOEVER. With that said though, we don’t expect any problems. _____________________________________________________________________________________________ LanP3, Copyright © 2006-2007, Lucid Ocean Limited General Support, requests and/or comments, please email support@lucidocean.com
