Release History

This install will overwrite your previously installed LanP3 Database.
You will need to add your settings, folders again in Settings.

1. Help Section Added: Will be expanded over the coming revisions.
2. FIXED: Stop/Kick still available when not Admin.
3. FIXED: Object Reference is Null Exception Indexing becoming Disposed too early.
4. FIXED: Scenario where a folder would be indexed twice in succession.
5. FIXED: CPU usage 100%, when Intro mp3 file fails to play (unknown)
6. StyleSheet and other Web User Interface elements neatened.
7. FIXED: Reading of Duration in MetaData had a hidden exception causing field not to be read
8. FIXED: Album Art retrieval was locking the application process when it failed to retrieve certain images.
9. FIXED: If Track Exists failed to find album and artist with null values, thus causing duplicate.
10.FIXED: A few bugs found that duplicated, or missed some tracks when indexing. Not perfect but getting better
11: Added: Error Handler makes email prompt to send to support team.
12: Added: You can now change the Server Port for the Web Client.
13: Added: Filename is now displayed in various places
14: Added: Bug with titles containing invalid characters in the Search is now fixed
15: GENERAL: a) More Error Handling and more reporting
			 b) algorithm for discovering album from titles improved
			 c) album art discovery is now slightly slower, as more checks are being done
			 d) various improvements too little to mention.
16: FIXED: "Conversion failed when converting datetime from character string" found within two data queries.

	

	

Windows 2003 Server Notes

There have been reports of LanP3 not installing SQLExpress if the full version SQL 2005 is installed.
You should therefore install the SQLExpress Version side by side. (Please make sure you don't break your server.)

WE STRONGLY RECOMMEND THAT YOU INSTALL THIS ON A NON CRITICAL MACHINE. IT IS YOUR CHOICE, BUT THINGS DO GO WRONG AND UNFORESEEN THINGS CAN OCCUR. PLEASE AT LEAST BACKUP YOUR DATA. WE CANNOT BE HELD RESPONSIBLE
FOR ANY LOSS WHATSOEVER.

With that said though, we don’t expect any problems.
